A couple weeks ago, I won a giveaway hosted by AllYouDesire. She posted a pic of a beautiful Dior polish in Vibrant Mauve. I saw the pic and thought "I must have this!", so I signed up for her giveaway. Well, surprise, surprise! I won!! A little while later (not exactly sure just how long - but it did come all the way from the Czech Republic) I got a bubble mailer with my pretty, pretty polish. I was so excited because the color is SOOO pretty in the bottle. Purple, pink, blue, grey, pearl shimmer. Even the box was pretty! Gorgeous iridescent with so many pastel glowing colors!

Taken indoors, with flashIt really is a pretty color - in the bottle. This is at least 3, if not 4 coats and there's still VNL. The application was perfect and the color wasn't even streaky (even for a pearl). The brush is nice and wide, which I like. I'm not usually one to complain about VNL, but I was hoping this one would be just a little more opaque. I think it would take at least a couple more coats to be totally opaque. Pearl polishes are always so pretty in the bottle and I'm always so disappointed once I apply them. I just am not a pearl person - no matter how many times I try. And in this case, I'm not a sheer person, either (I know you agree Nailstah!). I try. But I'm just not. Meh. So, there ya have it! Not my color but now I can say I own a Dior polish (I really don't see myself buying any polish at $23 a pop!).
Here's my question to you, my dear readers. Are there any colors, finishes, etc, that you totally WANT to love but just DON'T?
