Happy Saturday, Kitschies! And happy Fall!!! This, like many of you, is my favorite time of year. The weather cools down, the leaves change color, kids are back in school...the list goes on and on. But at the top of the list: FOOD! I love comfort food, but it's too hot to cook like that during the Summer. By the time Fall rolls around, I crave that great home-cooked goodness. Slow cookers, baking, stews...I want it ALL! So, to celebrate, I'm hosting a recipe exchange.
But not just *any* recipe exchange...a FALL recipe exchange! What does that mean, exactly? Share your favorite comfort food recipes, or recipes that remind you of Fall. Breads, cakes, cookies, treats, stews, slow cooker, baking, grilling...ANYTHING that says: Feed Me, Feed My Soul. Recipes can be printed, but it's super awesome to get an actual recipe card that's been handwritten!
This sounds great, Megan! How do I join in on the fun? I'm glad you asked, [insert your name here]! Just send me an email (megharmeyer@gmail.com) with your name and address (if you have a blog, please provide me with a link to that, too). Please be sure to list if you have any allergies so we can avoid sending somebody to the hospital. This is including our friends in other countries to make it a little different. You have 10 days to get me your info (by October 12th). Once I get all the entries, I will pair everybody up and send out emails with all the necessary information. And all you have to do is send 2 or 3 recipes to your partner(s). If you have more than one person to send to, you don't have to do multiple recipes, just send the same recipes to every one. If you sign up, please follow through with your recipes! I participated in a swap like this, sent out 3 recipes to 3 different people and only ended up with recipes from 1 person - kinda disappointing.
This is my first time hosting something like this, so if I missed something, please let me know. Please feel free to ask questions and get all the information you need to participate. And...the more, the merrier! So, feel free to mention this on your blog. Or even on Facebook - you do NOT have to have your own blog or even be a follower to participate. This is open to EVERYBODY!
PS: The hubs told me I need to put a disclaimer, so here we go. No squash or stuffing recipes (these things make him gag). If anybody receives said squash or stuffing recipe, they will automatically be kicked off the internets. His words. Not mine. I'm good with everything.
