Nail Fraud - A Review

TGIF!  It's Friday!  But I can't get too excited.  I have to come in to work both days this weekend.  *sad*  However, it's our office Christmas party tonight, so that should be fun.  For now, though, it's work as usual.

In mid-November, Nail Fraud announced on their Facebook page that they'd send out a free set of Nail Fraud stickers to anybody who wanted them.  I had already received a set of stickers through a giveaway I'd won on Magic Maid's blog.  I hadn't had a chance to try them out, but once I got the Facebook set in, I decided it was time.  I held both sets up for my son and he chose these.  You can click on any of these pictures to make bigger to see in better detail.

I was excited because I'd never tried nail appliques like this before.  I was afraid that they'd be a pain in the butt to apply, but after watching the online tutorial and once I got a couple applied, it wasn't hard at all.

The set comes with 20 stickers in varying sizes.  Once you find the one that fits your nail, you apply the sticker and file off the excess.

This is what they looked like on the night of application.  I had no application issues.  There was no bubbling and since the stickers are pretty flexible and stretchy, I didn't have any trouble covering the whole nail.

This is after the first day of wear.  I had some tip wear, but not peeling, lifting or cracking.  I did not use any top coat because I wanted to give this a true wear test.

After two days of wear, you could really see tip wear.  I was a little disappointed about this because on the package it says that it provides up to a week of wear.  After I took this picture (a horrible pic because I was having flash issues), I did some baking and cleaning.  After that was all said and done, I removed the stickers because I had quite a bit more wear and a couple of the stickers had actually lifted and peeled.

Here's a short list of my pros and cons for Nail Fraud.

PRO:
*Cool designs (10 different designs listed on their website)
*Pretty easy to apply once you get the hang of it
*Flexible stickers make it easy to fit to the nail

CON:
*Didn't last as long as the packaging had suggested
*Tip wear after a day
*A little pricey ($12) for only two days of wear, but if you're looking for something different for a party or something, these would be perfect
*Availability - I've seen it mentioned that they're available a various retail locations, but I haven't seen them around yet.

Bottom line.  Would I buy these?  Yes.  If I had a specific function to go to, or if I was on vacation and didn't want to lug around the necessary tools for a mani, Nail Fraud is the way to go!

The products represented in this post were provided to me by Nail Fraud.

they look like they apply pretty evenly which is awesome. I also love how you used the numbered blacks in the day 1 and 2 pics, very cute :)

Damn, I was hoping these would last longer :( I'm awful with regular nail polish and usually chip it in a day, so these would probably last half an hour on me LOL

I was thinking about getting some of the metallic stickers - not by this company - for the festive season, but two days? Pffft.

So perfect for a special night out?? I can handle that!

These seem so pricey to me; I guess because they don't last as long as a bottle of polish. I might think about trying them as accent nails.
