I Fell Off My Pink Cloud

"I fell off my pink cloud with a thud."
Elizabeth Taylor

I love it!  Don't you miss laying on your back in the middle of a sea of green grass while looking up at the clouds and trying to decide if that cloud looks more like a hippo or a bear?  I know I do.  *sigh*  Gone are the carefree days of childhood.  It kind of makes me sad.  But then I realize I get to experience some of those great things again through my boys.

A while back (seems like forever ago now), I saw this wonderful color on Let's Go Sparkling, I knew I HAD to have it.  Thus started my stalking of quite a few Walgreens.  But, after many failed attempts, I stopped looking.  Sad Megan.  Then...last week (I think it was last week) while on lunch, I happened to wander over to the cosmetics section at the Alberstons across the street from the clinic.  And OMG!  They had it!!  I plucked it off the shelf so fast - you couldn't even see my hand - that's how fast it was!  LOL

This is Sinful Colors Forget Now.  It's a pretty, pretty hot pink with blue-ish/purple-ish glass flecks.  So pretty!!  I applied 3 coats because I had quite a bit of VNL, but if you're not quite as picky, you could definitely get away with 2.

My only complaint about this one?  Shrinkage!  That's right, ladies.  Shrinkage doesn't just affect men.  I don't know if my FDTC (Seche Vite) is to blame or the polish itself, but I did have noticeable shrinkage.  It looked like I did a really bad job putting on plastic nails.  I will try this color again and maybe use a different FDTC or give the SV another try.  Oh...like the little black striping?  That idea was stolen from my bestie: she texted me a pic of her mani a while back and I loved it - so I had to "borrow" the idea.  This picture was indoors with flash.

This was the post that almost didn't happen today.  I went to work on this at work this afternoon and realized that I forgot to add these pictures to my flash drive.  *sigh*  So, while I'm making this post, I'm also baking some chocolate chews for the office potluck tomorrow (recipe to follow in the near future).

DON'T FORGET!!!  You only have until tomorrow evening to ENTER MY GIVEAWAY!  Please click on that link and sign up to win a $40 gift card to CSN Stores.  I will announce the winner some time this weekend.

Have a good rest of the evening.  Remember, one more big sleep and it's FRIDAY!!!

What a pretty pretty pink, as for shrinkage it is probably because of the Seche Vite...Did you apply it while the nail polish was still a little wet?

Beautiful nail once again! I haven't noticed shrinkage using the Seche Vite but maybe I will try the TC I have.

@ Wendi - Yeah, I've heard about shrinkage before but had never had a problem. :(

@ Amanda - It's pretty inexpensive ($2-$2.50), so it might be a possibility for your little one.

@ Aggie - The polish was a little more wet than I usually do for the FDTC. Is that maybe the problem?

@ Kristen - Awww...you really read my blog?

@ Linda - Thank you. I think Aggie might have a point about the wet polish.

yes, that could very well be the problem, I love Seche Vite but it is a love hate relationship sometimes!

Shrinkage is so bizarre! =S But nonetheless it's a gorgeous shade, and I love the stripey accent nail :)
