Baby no more

It makes me a little sad that my little boy, Mason, turned 1 on June 2nd. He's my last baby and every day he gets closer to being a little kid more than a baby. He's not quite walking yet, but I'm sure that's just around the corner. We celebrated his 1st birthday with family and friends at a neighborhood park. We all had a lot of fun and Mason got to dig in to his first piece of cake - which he loved. Here's a quick look at my little mister over the last year. Mason Gregory was born on Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at 4:13 p.m., 3 days before his due date. I needed just a touch of pitocin to get things going, but once that kicked in, our little one joined us about 4 hours (and no epidural) later.


He weighed in at 7 lbs, 9 oz - the exact same as his older brother - and 21.25" long. He had lots of dark brown hair. He was (and still is) a very easy, mellow baby.



Mason is such a good little boy. He eats everything we give him and crawls like the wind! He has 6 teeth - 2 on the bottom, 4 on the top - the top he got all over the course of a week. Poor little boy!

It took a while for the hair at the top of his head to grow in. My BIL says he looks like Ron Howard's little brother - I think he's much cuter than that. LOL You can kinda see it in the last picture, but he has a cowlick in the very front center of his hair line. We say that it's his unicorn horn.

The birthday gang. Cousins and friends shared in the fun and excitement.

And of course we had cake. It took him a little while to get in to the cake, but once he did...
