Pretty In Pink

Spring is nature's way of saying, "Let's party!" - Robin Williams

Morning, Kitschies! It's Monday again - bleh - I hope everybody had the get up and go to do what they needed to do this morning. As for me, it's just another Monday at work. At least the weather is supposed to cooperate this week. And it's a good thing, too, because the hubs is going camping on Friday.

I received my giveaway package from Libby's Pink Vanity last Wendesday and I couldn't help myself from ripping in to it as soon as I got home! Actually, I lied. I tore into it on the long drive home. I knew as soon as I saw it that a Spring mani was in the works. I promptly removed my patriotic challenge mani and let the wheels start turning to see what I could come up with one of the 3 pretty pink polishes that were included in the package. I decided on Color Club She's So Glam. I wouldn't have gotten this polish for myself - I rarely go for cremes - but I'm so glad she included it because I love it!! It's a pretty pink creme, a little on the PeptoBismol side, but perfect for my skin tone. I knew I didn't want to just leave it plain, so I dug out my craft paint (I know there's another name for the stuff, I just can't think of it right now), grabbed white and yellow, a couple toothpicks and had some fun. For a first attempt at something other than stripes and I think it turned out ok - for a noob. LOL

A couple of the flowers look like eggs on the other hand, but I think it ended up looking cute.

This is the most true to color.

This is my first bottle of Color Club, so I didn't know what to expect from the formula, other than what I'd read already. I think I remember this being 3 coats though I probably could've gotten away with 2. The wear was really good - I wore this from Wednesday night through Saturday evening (pretty unheard of for me lately) with very little tip wear and a couple cracks/flakes.

So, there ya have it! If you don't have any Color Club polishes, I recommend you hunt some down. They're pretty good and not too pricey (which is always a plus in my book).

Coming up this week I'll have another polish post (or 2) and a recipe for tri tip and my very favorite-est potatoes.

A little off the polish topic, but...It's my parent's 35th wedding anniversary! There aren't many people nowadays who can claim that! I still have 29 years to catch up to that one. I can only hope that my marriage is as strong as theirs has been. I love you both very much!

Listening to: I'll Be by Edwin McCain (very fitting for an anniversary song)
