Slow buds the pink dawn

"Slow buds the pink dawn like a rose from out night's gray and cloudy sheath; softly and still it grows. Petal by petal, leaf by leaf." Susan Coolidge

I'm not always a pink person, but talk to me about Zoya and the beautiful Reece comes to mind. When trying to decide on colors for my first polish exchange with Zoya, I debated between beautiful Reece and the equally beautiful, but different, Happi. I'm glad I went with Reece.

The Zoya website describes Reece as rose metallic duochrome. A frosty hint of gold creates a unique "oil-slick" rose-gold. However you want to describe Reece is fine with me. This is a beautiful color!!

Full sun - 2 coats & top coat

Like a lot of Zoya colors, this one was hard to capture, so I borrowed the bottle pic from their website

This was a 2-coater. It approved prefectly without any bubbles. The dry time was average. It wore really well. I'll definitely be wearing this one again soon!!

While we're on the subject of Zoya...

The BFF and I went and put together a second Zoya exchange package. It was much easier to choose colors this time around. Between the two of us, we got 12 polishes, with a couple repeaters. Here's what I got:

L TO R: Trinity, Kotori, Ivanka, Mimi, Rihana, Shivon

Trinity: A lighter shade of bright hot fuchsia pink with strong blue-violet duochrome shimmer. Extremely eye-catching, a pink shade that's sure to mesmerize.

Kotori: A dense bright blue shimmer superimposed over a sheer black base. Dark and edgy yet perfectly chic.

Ivanka: Mermaid green sparkling metallic. An expensive-looking metallic shade for summer.

Mimi: Royal purple sparkling metallic. An expensive-looking metallic shade for spring.

Rhiana: Deep, rich plum-purple with subtle red and magenta pearl shimmer. Purple mixed with cool and warm tones so it will flatter most skin tones.

Shivon: A dark rose gold with hints of purple and bronze and strong gold duochrome shimmer. This color flickers and changes with light and movement so you'll never be bored.

I cannot wait to use these!! I've only used Ivanka so far and I love it. For those who don't know, Ivanka is the sister to my darling Charla. I'm severely disappointed that the Zoya exchange doesn't last longer - I need more!! I can't afford multiple $7 bottles, so I guess I'm going to have to start making my list for next year's exchange.

This is what the BFF got:

L to R: Zara, Gilda (I surprised her with that one, good BFF that I am), Kotori, Adnia, Kiki and Mimi

Zara: A vivid blue-toned light purple with strong golden duochrome shimmer. Gives a magical look to nails.

Gilda: Fashion pink sparkling metallic. An expensive-looking metallic shade for summer.

Kotori: See above.

Adina: Violet metallic multichrome. A frosty hint of green and magenta creates a unique "oil-slick" look.

Kiki: Vivid hot pink with strong blue-violet duochrome and flecks of silver shimmer. A fun shade for vibrant, noticeable nails.

Mimi: See above.

Ms W is wearing Gilda today and she loves it! ! There's not much she can say about it other than she wants to "eat her fingers it's so pretty". LOL 'Nuf said.

So...my question to you is this: What's your favorite Zoya color?

I don't have just one....I love almost all for different reasons. ;) Each time I put one on, I think its my favorite until I put another on. One of the many reasons I have a love affair with Zoya, lol

I think your nail picture did an excellent job of catching the unique-ness of Reece.

@SM - thanks! This is one of my faves (but the list is endless, really).

@ Becky - If you only have two colors, red and black are definitely the ones to have!

@ LW - I KNOW!! I don't know that I could ever say I have an *absolute* favorite! Especially when Zoya is concerned. Dang them for having such amazing colors! I was pretty happy with that pic - usually I have to take tons of pics to get ONE that shows the perfection that is each and every color of Zoya. Wow - I think we need to start a Zoya Addicts support group.
